Landing on Razzle — Studio Project
Brief: Tristan Kobler & Arno Mathies
From the British slang, Razzle means to go out, celebrating with friends. But Razzle can also refer to the “razzle dazzle” or “dazzle painting”, a camouflage made by a complex pattern of geometric shapes in contrasting colours.
Landing on Razzle is an event machine, a space inspired by natural habitat converted into simplified geometry, a structure able to contain and become an event by itself.
Components:
- Structure: a wooden grid, with horizontal and vertical layers supported by diagonals. Height 4m x Length 10m x Width 5m (50 m2).
- Furnishing: Specifically designed and produced elastic fabric printed in Dazzling white, blue and red pattern.
- Wearable Red Filters: half of a circles made in red Plexiglas that can be worn both as a necklace or glasses. Looking through the red filter the perception of the patterns changes, bringing up a secondary pattern invisible to the naked eye.
- Bar: Jelly Shots are arranged throughout the structure, making the structure the bar itself.
- Sound: sounds and playlist created for the event.
